Who owns the site, the domain and the data? You. All three.

Data ownership

That is the test to put to anyone who builds websites. Here is how we answer it, in writing, before work starts.

What that means, item by item.

In practice

  • The domain is registered in your name, from day one.
  • The site files and database are yours, and exportable at any time.
  • Every login is handed over: hosting, WordPress, analytics, the lot.
  • The build is standard WordPress, so it runs on any host in the world.
  • Nothing is retained by us as leverage, and that is confirmed in writing before work starts.

The platform trap

A Wix or Squarespace site cannot be exported and switched on somewhere else, so you are only ever renting it. Moving means rebuilding in WordPress and carrying the content, the URLs and the search rankings across carefully. We do that work, and it is a normal project rather than a special case.

On our maintenance plans the same rule holds: one month’s notice, and the site leaves with you. We hand over the files, the database and the backups, and help you move.

The two questions that matter

Questions

Nothing happens to your site. It is standard WordPress on your own domain, with your own logins. Any competent developer can pick it up, which is exactly the point.

No. The domain stays in your name throughout, hosting is included without us owning anything of yours, and cancelling takes a month’s notice.

Get it in writing

Every build starts with the ownership terms on paper: your domain, your files, your logins. Twenty minutes, free, to talk it through.

Free. 20 minutes. No proposal you did not ask for.
